Coming hot off her new world record that she set in July, Malibu athlete Regina Jaquess brought her A-Game to West Palm Beach, FL for the 2019 GOODE Water Ski National Championships. The first National Water Ski Championships was held in 1939 and have run every year since, except for the three years during World War II. With 77 years of this competition, titles are already at an extremely high standard, so the crowd was in total awe as Regina skied her way into another incredible victory. Wednesday, August 7th, Regina won the Open Women Overall title by running 3 buoys at 41 feet off pulled by the Malibu Response TXi. She also took First Place in Open Women Slalom and Second in Open Women Jumping at the GOODE Water Ski National Championships.

Malibu Boats has always been a proud sponsor of this championship as it supports the industry and pays homage to the heritage that Malibu was founded on. The Response TXi is a legendary ski boat designed especially for legendary athletes. With the Malibu Monsoon Engine, it is the perfect combination to create smooth, soft wakes at high power every single time. Malibu continues to be stunned at Regina’s dedication and accomplishments in the sport and cannot wait to see how she will continue to disrupt the world of water skiing. Congratulations on your new title Regina!
