On Saturday, September 15th, employees and family members came out for the annual Malibu Family Day celebration. Since its inception in 2011, Malibu Family Day has grown significantly with attendance from 700 to over 1,500 in 2018. That means this year was the largest crowd ever!

Held just outside the factory along the banks of the Tennessee River, guests enjoyed rides in Malibu and Axis Boats, plant tours, blow up slides, corn hole, snow cones, delicious barbeque and refreshments. In addition, 44 generous vendors donated $12,950 in merchandise and $12,375 in prizes for an employee raffle.

The event also included an executive dunk tank, which generated $361 for the Tellico Village Kiwanis Club’s Amtryke Bike Program. With the help of an Amtryke bicycle, children who are unable to operate a traditional bike due to physical limitations can improve their motor skills, strength and self-esteem. Thus far, Malibu has donated six Amtryke therapeutic bikes to the program.
