Malibu Boats is excited to announce that the fan-favored and world-renowned professional waterski event, Malibu Open, is going live on October 1-2. We invite you to join from the comfort of your own home and watch the world’s best skiers battle it out behind the 13-time world record setting Malibu Response TXi for more than $50,000 in prize money.

This competitive water ski tournament will consist of pros from around the world bringing their all to compete in slalom and jump divisions. Slalom Skiing involves a multi-buoy course that the skier must go around to complete a pass. Each time a pass is completed, the skier’s rope is shortened, and the winner is determined based on the skier’s rope length, the boat speed, and the number of buoys cleared.

The second division is none other than the crowd favorite, jump. Skiers use two long skis to hit the ramp, find their wings, and attempt to travel the longest distance. Skiers are given three attempts to hit the ramp and the winner is determined solely off distance.

Friday, Oct. 1st will feature the preliminary rounds for Slalom for Women and Men, Jump for Women and Men, and Jump Juniors.

Saturday, Oct. 2nd will feature the Slalom Semi-Finals for Women and Men, Slalom Juniors, followed by the Finals and Head to Head for Slalom for Women and Men. The event will end with the evening Jump Semi-Finals and Finals for Women and Men.
